I've always liked them. just never had the tank size to keep them. i have a 75gal tank. i assume its standard size since its 4ft long (i forget the other dimensions) i would love to keep jurupuri or surinamensis but I'm afraid the tanks length is far to small.
I'm not sure what to do or if there are other species that would be able to be comfortable in a shoal for my tank..so please help me with this issue and give me some insight!

The height of their fins and feelers are why a tall tank is good for them.I would suggest that rather than an air stone you plunked a small power head down near the bottom to keep that water moving. And enjoy the new tank!

since i emptied the tank, it looks huge. its only when i have stuff in it that makes it look so tiny, but i dont want to much decor if im going to be keeping somewhat large fish.
