I have two small Geo Suri's in my 55gal. They have been a in a few days, great color and clear fins. They seem real content picking through the gravel. However, i can seem to get them to take chiclid flakes or pellets. Any thoughts?

Water params are all perfect.

You may want to try and offer them some frozen shrimp or bloodworm. Plus make sure it can float all the way to the bottom as they are probably skiddish and will not swim up to the top to eat. What other tankmates do they have?

Just a pleco for now. I crumble the flakes and pellets so they sink but they show no interest. I know they are picking them out of the gravel eventually since thats all they do.

they're eating then! mine was pretty skiddish when i first got him, and never ate the stuff until it was in the gravel.. now, he might take a couple pellets as they're sinking down, but still tears up my substrate. they're fine.

mine didnt eat anythin besides pickin at the gravel for 2 or so weeks, then he started stealin almost full blood worm cubes, and now he eats sinkin carn pellets as they sink and eats freeze dried krill from the surface. Just give him some time

My geos rarely eat as soon as the food hits the water. They prefer to let it sit and sift it out later.

I feed frozen brine shimp, blood worms, Hilari sinking cichlid pellets, Omega flakes and NLS pellets.
