geos with angels?

I am going to do a sandy substrate in my 75 with angels, but I am not sure if I want to do some clown loaches or some geos.


I figure the geos might not get as big and some look very nice (altifrons, topajos, even the jurupari).


Are geos too aggressive? I have heard horror stories, but I have heard horror stories about angels as well.

You could look into cupidos as a substitute, same behavior without the aggression and size of some.

I have 2 jurupari with an angel, no problem. These geos are very submissive. By the way what's small? My jurupari are 6in.

juriparis and angels are a great mix.

I Just did a 190 that is 3 feet tall 18 wide and 5 feet long I have 3-5 inch angels and added juripari, red hump and braziensis, sorry I cant spell... so far so good all the geos are small so I wont know till later. I also have 7 clown loaches...so far everything is great I have had many jupipari in the past so timid. I am going to add some gold sevrums too.

my LFS has a display 210 with a 2' Giant gourami, black veil angels, geo's, clown loaches, green, albino, platinum, and tiger barbs, all kinds of different cool stuff, that they never keep in stock ! But they will go together great.

I have Angels with a G. altifrons. They get along pretty well for the most part, the Geo nips at the Angels every once in a while but nothing too vicious. They are generally in different levels of the tank most of the time so they really don't cross paths that much since the Angels prefer mid to upper levels and the Geo sticks close to the bottom.
