I was gonna setup a tank with pbass and rays.. When I heard that geos are good for ray tanks because the sift the sand for the rays, so I was wondering if the geos could hang with the pbass? The tank is gonna be at least 8' long by 3' wide

i have 8 geo redhead tapajos 4-5.5" with 2 orino at 2.5-3" living fine together probably move the bass when the geo looks like food to them.
In theory you get get one of the larger growing Geo's like altifrons (12") ... but you would have to start with large ones, geo's grow rather slowly compared to many other cichlids. And seeminly not at all compared to cichla.
Yes, one of the larger species ... dicrozoster. I believe his are around 8" atm, not sure how big the pbass are though.

All Geo's are slow growers. You would need to find adult geo's because the p-bass will quickly outgrow small ones and turn them into food. the problem is that pretty much nobody is looking sells 8+ inch altifrons. When they get that big they are too nice to get rid of
