ggrrh what is that!
PS no images have been modified in any ways,
still need a new light!!

:drool:

Close up detail is phenomonal! Your fish look fantastic in all of their high res glory!

I am going camera shopping tonight (hopefully). My cell phone just doesn't cut it on here!

Nice photos!

very nice fish, the colours are outstanding. what kind of light do you use to bring out the reds?

nice fish. not bad photos for a canon :naughty:

in the second from bottom pic what is that at the base of his fin ? is it a growth of some sort ?

THanks Guys!!,
really appreciate it!

to answer the questions,

@CLDarnell,
thanks man lol, i use to take pics with a crappy digital camera, had to record vids and steal pics from it :D, now i dont need to LOL

@ccebr,
if i have a new t5 light unit the colours IMO would be much better,
i am using some old light unit i found in a box. to be honest the light unit is around 10years old maybe older and the light tube is some hagen aqua glo t8,
who knows how old is that light, 5years plus maybe :WHOA:

but i use hikari bio gold cichlid, hikari algae wafers, nls cichlid formula, sera vipa gran to bring out the colours,
imo hikari foods ****s on everyone else lol

@peathenster
those are geophagus sp. "Rio Branco" or Geophagus sp. "Guyana" in some parts of the world,
i believe those are females, due to the size difference from the larger males, which are 12-13cm,
still got a long way to grow

@theOscarGuy,

the smaller ones you see are geophagus sp. "Rio Branco" or guyana

the larger ones are Geophagus sp. "Columbia/Venezuela"
its another variant of geophagus abalios

theres also some tapajos swimming around, to hard to take pic of

here are the parents of my fish
http://simulationeight.net/eartheaters/index.php?page=abalios2
have a look at amk's photos, those are the parents of my c/v's

http://simulationeight.net/eartheaters/index.php?page=riobranco
possibly great grand parents of my geophagus rio branco,
also have alook at amk's photos

@killrmack should make the move :headbang2 should be alot cheaper over in the states.

@papawoody thanks

@#1_cichlid_breeder
yes that is a growth, dont know what it is, could you identify it?
i heard many south american keepers have it at one point, usually clout gets rid of it, doenst kill the fish, but looks dreadful

thanks guys
