Looking to buy German Shepherd female puppy in the Socal area would prefer AKC registerd.

And btw im sorry for posting this on a aquatic website,But im having a real hard time finding a breeder local to me that's not costing a arm and leg.

Any info would help maybe if you know a breeder let me know thanks:)

I hope you don't mind me making some suggestions on puppy purchasing :). What do you consider an "arm and a leg" to cost you? It's really worth it to spend an extra couple hundred from a very reputable breeder, especially with German Shepherds-what you save buying from the newspaper or some random person's puppy will cost you a lot more in vet bills down the road. GSDs are highly prone to skeletal disorders, as well as eye and blood clotting problems. You want to look for a breeder that tests their breeding dogs for things like hip dysplasia, elbow displasia, von Willebrand's disease, progressive retinal atrophy. Here's a good link to look through:

IMO, you're going to get a better temperament out of dogs with schutzhund lines versus the AKC show ring types, but either way they will definitely need good structure, a good start, and tons of exercise (as with any working type dog).
(Can't get that to unbold, lol) A puppy from a reputable breeder should run around $1000 or so, maybe less for something 4-6 months old if you are willing to go that route. If you are interested, I will take a look and see if I can find any good breeders in your area a little later.

I know what your saying but I also know what im talking about to when it comes to GSD, Yes I know GSD are prone for bad hibs and elbows as you know aswell,But paying 1,000 dollars for a pup is pretty step if you ask me but my current GSD I purchased 8 years back and he was about 5months I paid a decent amount for him $500 and his blood lines were champion lines and quarnted hips but 1,000 dollars is alittle steep right now but I understand what you are saying and agree im not trying to pick up just any dog that comes up:D

Id rather not rescue one because most of the time you dont know what your really getting.
But ive done more researching and found a breeder in Yucipa and proablly gona look whats up there, their prices are more reasonable $850 a pup is alot better then $1500.
But if anyone knows any other breeders by the 92346 area would be appreciated

Also would like the breeder to have German blood line but still AKC registerd
