Geryi Piranha?

Can anyone tell me everything you know about this piranha? How many can be kept in a 55 gallon aquarium? thanks guys

Only 1 in a 55gal.
They can be shoaled but I wouldnt try it in less than a 180galwith 6-8 fish

Most are brought in at around 6-7" at that size I wouldn't keep one in anything less then a 75g..

Can only say that he is my fav piranha and he has a violet line running down the spine. 2nd fav is normal rhom. But sg it is banned. Anybody can help bring for me, pm me

Geryi are one of the serrasalmus species that can be kept together, but as others have said, they need a big tank. If you have a 55 and want piranha, then go for a group of 4-5 baby red bellies, or pick a solo piranha like a gold spilo, a small rhom, or even a big red belly!
