Does yours Geryi stay at the spot allover the day?Mine was spotting ...does`t like to swim around,or it just get stressed coz it was just picked up afew days?

Geryi is a shy piranha species.İt doesn't swim around everytime.İt like gloomy waters.Wait patiently after 1-2 months it will get used own tank.Good lucks

all piranhas can be shy right off the bat, just let him get settled in, keep him healthy and happy, and he'll be fine.

i would like to see some pics of your collection ozz...

Yup,I will post lateron or maybe tomorrow coz my tanks when turn off light,I scare stressing them .....And I know what is it doing now,Thanks alo Joe!!

Most piranha are skittish at first.. i have had my brandtii for like 7 months now and he still sometimes gets scared of me.. Its really a waiting game with this type of fish and sometimes you may even wanna give up.. like Joe said jus keep the water clean and just give him time hell come around.. just out of curiosity is he eating yet? if hes eating then you shouldnt have a problem.. if hes not try putting the food in there right before you shut the lights at night.. it took 4 months to get the brandtii to eat in front of me but he always ate at night.. i would love to hear more about the geryi that is another species thats on the top of my "to get list"...

Man Im not huge fan of pirhanas, but I really dig on those elongatus. Nice pics and good lookin Ps.

From my experience Geryi are not shy fish...It just need to get use to the enviroment it in. Geryi is the ONLY piranha that like light. They will feel more comfortable with bright like, on the other hands most piranha don't.

This is just from my experienced that I used to own. just my 2cent.
