Sold some fish and got the cash, time for a black arowana from John. Just to double check:


  1. 80-82F
  2. 29 gallon grow out tank OR 60 gallon divided in half?
  3. no tankmates
  4. hikari cichlid gold pellets, NLS, frozen brine shrimp
  5. did I forget something?
So anxious and nervous, haven't had a black arowana in over 8 years. Promise will post pics.
 
Nice choice of fish. How big is the guy? Juvi ide suppose. IMO ide go with the 60 divide. Everything else sounds good. Good luck. Looking forward to some pics.

2-3" WITHOUT egg sac. Egg sac arowana are so fragile. I have a hob marineland filter. I'm gonna put him on the side without the hob filter. The other side will consist of 2x baby goldy pleco, 1x 3-4" L48 (getting it from John too), and 4x baby indo datnoids. I really wanna put him with my other fish, but datnoids might mess with him.
 
Keep us posted with pics ! I have 3 of them comming from John next week and can hardly wait.
 
that should work...no tankmates till 6-10"...although i have had my baby aros with small eels and a sa lungfish without issuse...you should do hikari food sticks aswell...

Lucky, I'm only getting one. So does John only do send shipments out on Monday and Wednesday?
 
I guess I never asked John when he shipps I just told him when I could be home to accept them. I could have had them tomorrow but I have to work. So until then -- :popcorn:

There still very fragile without them as well alot more than a silver, good luck with him.

you just get one?
