heres a quick how to-worked for me and my fish thru trial and error i came up with this
first make sure ur fish associate u coming to tank and opening with feeding, tease them, break water with ur fingers quick across the top of water.get there attention dnt stick your whole finger in tho. next let them wait, get a small tupperware container, put a frozen feeder in it(pref silver or grey) let them see u approach tank with the container break water and drop the frozen feeder in chances are they will take it. now get a silverside put hot water in that container now and let the silverside thaw in it,keep the water thats in that container pour some into the tank when u run ur finger across water let them smell the sivlerside water, they will smell fish but dnt see it,pour some more then pour a silverside in it, at this point they should be ready to hit anything on water chances are they will take that silverside, be persistant, i did this process long and drawn out i tried short starving, didnt work, tried frozen feeders it worked but doesnt get them away form feeders still, throwing a frozen silverside in raw wont work usually. would u eat a raw frozen diner thrown on the table? make sure that silverside is as close to a feeder as possible, get their attention at that spot where u tease them with finger and pour the water in. when i finally tried this approach it worked in 3 days! they are all 100% completely off. ill try to get a video up but they were just fed, after a few days of sivlersides i got raw peeled shrimp, cut it into thin 1 or 2" strips that look similar to silversides, mix in some shrimp strips with the silversides, repeat same process, put it all in hot water adn pour it in let them smell it, they took shrimp the 2nd time i tried it! so they are on silversides and shrimp at this point, good start for a clean diet. i give them live maybe 3x a month now just as a treat and to keep them sharp.
good luck!!!
