gettin a snakehead

any advices?

im gonna get my brother a red snakehead. thats the only available snakehead i can get from where i am.

i also have a spotted gar, can i place both of them in the same tank? saw a video of an emperor snakehead in a tank w arowanas, a gar and some other fishes.

Reds are generally too aggressive to be kept with anything, usually tearing up anything it's with. Also grows 3 feet in length so you'll want atleast an 8'x3' aquarium.

btw if you want to keep a giant snakehead w/ a spotted gar you need at least 8'x3' water tank and take note both of them are the same size so that no aggression will take place as time passes by

Is it a good Idea to put a pair of 3 inch Great Snakeheads and a pair of 2.5 inch Red Snakeheads in one tank . Once they grow im moving them in an indoor pond.

I'm never a fan of taking things out of the wild but if you live in the U.S then you can go fishing for some.It's an invasive species here.
