Here's my biggest Hartwegi and one of my smaller Synspilum. They just moved into another tank ( reason why they are out of the tank and I thought I would record how big they are) and I'll have a vid up in a few hours.

They are in my Midas/Istlanum tank. The Midas is EASY double the size of everyone in the tank.

Very cool. What is aggression like with these guys? Will they tolerate a community? I only have one large Vieja and they seem to be cool with most fish.

Right now I am the owner of 7 vieja species including Maculicauda, Synspilum, Hartwegi, Fenestratus, and Argentea and the only aggressive ones are the two Synspilums and the Largest Hartwegi. The Fene is a little bit. I never really had nay problem with aggression towards each other as in Vieja's but other species they hate. The Hartwegi is the killer of them all though.

I always heard vieja type fish hate other vieja's. That first pic looks like you shot it on a xmas present.

It's a table cloth on my table for the holidays.

My Vieja Don't hate each other at all. They have squabbles but no serious fights at all. They really don't like other species like my Dovii, Texas, Istlanum and my Beani. They just fight with them all the time.
