So I have a 225g wide tank that im putting in my newly finished fishroom/office, my question is, is it safe to stand it up on its end on a dolly and roll it because i cant get it in the room long ways. It has 1/2 glass with a double bottom. Any input is appriciated.

That's exactly how I had to do my 125 gal.....no problems for me...

It won't hurt the tank at all. I moved my 220 the same way, I just put a towel on the dolly to protect the glass.

I moved my 125 the same way. The larger tanks have that thicker glass. They can handle it. Today, I just had an incident occur where I went to a LFR and purchased a 37 gallon tank, stand and canopy to fit into a tight, little space in my home office. The kind who was loading the tank into my car cracked it. Now, I have to wait unitl next Thursday. They're ordering anothe tank.

I used a metal hydrolic table and a furniture dolly without anything to protect the glass when I moved my 220 and it didn't get a single scratch, so yeah, you should be fine
