Currently I have a motoro pup and silver arowana in a 90 gallon and there doing great but I'm getting a new tank for them for Christmas because they are growing like weeds the 240 gallon is 8 feet long and 2 feet wide I know this won't house them for life but i figure I could get a good 3-5 years out of the tank before upgrading again I have been looking around lately for another ray and currently found Leo pups for 550 shipped #1 is that a good price and #2 can I put a Leo with my motoro and if so does it matter what sex I get I'm 90% sure my motoro is a male could I get a female and would they mate once they reach maturity if anything id rather get another ray soon before my motoro reaches maturity

550 sounds too good to be true. Be careful wht u buy. Lots of people have had bad experiences with other people buying black rays and wish they spent the extra money and bought a healthy ray from me or brent

Just be careful

The motoro will outgrow a tank only 2 feet front to back in less than 18 months. Do not push it by adding more. 240 is quite small. 8 feet is great but 2foot wide is small. Could you not sneak in 30 inches or better 3 foot....even if you need to lose a foot or two off length?

It's not a custom tank I just found a guy on Craigslist with it I've been looking around for 4 months now and this is the biggest affordable one I've found I also found a 500 gallon but with the dimensions of 10 feet by 3 feet but its out of my price range right now

Sorry to hear that but the tank is the cheap it, the filters will be the same again. And the the food will be more. The fish need more space and space costs.

I dont know I mean this is my first time on aquabid and only my second ray if you guys think its to good to be true maybe ill just wait it out but I just saw the thread on leos no longer being imported to the u.s and Ive wanted one since I got into rays. Idk what to do right now tank wise either does anyone know any good custom tank builders in the new England area that isn't going to cost an arm and leg?
