on an icecube.....
ive been whanting a ray for a long time, but there vary expensive here, teacups are over 100 motoros generaly $200+ and most not in great shape, someone is getting in 4" for $85 and iam getting one but ive read not to get rays under 6", sence this ray wont have been to a LFS ect iam figureing it should be in better shape, and the person doing it brings in other fish like plecos ect so iam sure they know what there doing, iam just wondering if theres anything special i need to do sence this is a small ray? and what size tank should i start it out in? i have some 29gs and a 125g but i think the 125 would be to big for a 4" ray..? also my water is vary hard 7.8-8 ive read they can handle that as long as theres no amonia right?

There is no such thing as a tank that is "too big". Put him in the 125g. Some have had good luck with getting small rays, some have not....

Be warned that your source for rays is getting them directly wild caught, and he has no prior experience getting rays to eat when first imported. They can be touch and go; most will arive in great shape, but some will probably come in thin. If he'll guarantee that they're eating and quarantined for that price, I'd go for it.

125 gallon and good filtration... your ph is fine ray will adjust... just make sure you are very well cycled...

what else is in the 125?

thanks, iam not sure if he has imported rays before but i will try and ask, the 125g has been up for a long time and had many large fish in it so iam sure it cycled, right now it has a 14"+ CK that i will have to put someware eles other than that no fish

$200 is expencive for a motoro :ROFL::ROFL:
