Top brace broke and one seam cracked at the top were the 2 panels meet. Only problem is he tried silicon to seal it. So how should I go about regluing the tank?
Weld on #40?

How thick is the acrylic? Your going to need patches and 40

It's 1/2" I should have asked you guys first but it sounded good for 18" tall. I plan on redoing the euro bracing that cracked and adding a Brace front to back side to side on top.

For the one corner seam that split. This is where I'm concerned. He siliconed it. How would I go.about removing that off acrylic.

Also can I just put the tank up on its side and pour the weld on in the corner seam that's split and makes a seam like silicone would?

look up uarujoeys video on building an acrylic aquarium it may have the answer you need for welding the seam. No clue about removing the silicone though. Saw that tank, it looked abit scary.. but with some work it might turn out awesome.

I got my 240 for $50 its 8*2*2 it had a cracked brace and a crack on the bottom. I scabed over with more acrylic just on one side and used Weldon 40 I got it on ebay. It worked just fine I recently took it down and buffed it out and pored Weldon into the corners. It's filled back up and has been running for like 3 months now. The top of my tank is 3/8 acrylic and the sides are 1/2 just so you have an idea.

I'll have pics in a few hours and maybe you guys can give me a better idea. I'm pretty sure I'm all set once I find weld on #40 but I'm still lost on removing silicon from acrylic without harming anything
