Getting a 60" 125 maybe

Hey guys hate to start another thread but I wanted your opinions. We have someone locally selling a 125g with stand lights and glass canopies. It's a perfecto and he paid $450 for it a month ago. Said be wants something fair for it.

It's a 60x18x26. Not drilled.

Originally we were going with a 72x18x21 long 125 drilled with 2 overflows for our Discus.

The 60" , being cheaper, may be better for us financially.

Would this size still be good for discus? It's only a foot shorter but it's taller so it's still much bigger than our 55.

Also what size canister would you get? I was thinking of running my Emperor 400 and the Sunsun 304?

Its double the water volume of your current tank so yes it is a good upgrade. Being that its better for you financially... I think you have your answer, lol.

Go get it....and run two 400s....a deeper tank like that could use the surface agitation.

I have a 400 and penguin 350 on the 55 now. Think I'll run both of those and a canister or 2

So I just picked up the tank. Have to go back and get the stand tomorrow morning as both wouldn't fit in my vehicle.

For a perfecto 2006 tank and stand, it's in pretty good shape. There are a few scratches on the back top glass. Hopefully they won't be too visible from the front view and can be buffed out.

Looks like it used to have undergravel filters. The girl took them out and there is a tad bit of silicone left. I should be able to scrape that out or just pour sand over it right?

She said she filled the tank up and it held water. She has 10 tanks and this one was just too big and too much work.

Glass canopies will definitely be replaced.

It's got 2 30" stock lights that look to be t8 bulbs. One works the other needs a new bulb.

Stand is very nice and is in perfect shape.

I ended up paying 350 for everything. A little clean up and I think I got a good deal! Tank is tempered glass also. So ready to get it set up!
