Hello all -
i'm trying to get my bgk onto massivore sinking pellets - however, he won't take them. All he eats are blood worms, brine shrimp and the occasional earthworm I give him (hand fed). From what I understand, minus the earthworms, this is not a nutritious diet.
I've tried giving him small pieces of a tilapia fillet but after chewing it for a bit he spit it back out. As for the massivore pellets, I break them up into four pieces. As the bgk looks for food on the ground he'll do a double take when he gets to the massivore pellet, but won't really try to eat it.
I did a quick search and nobody ever really mentioned how they got their bgk onto pellets / massivore. Is the standard starving method fine (I've been trying for 2 days at a time)?
The bgk is in a 55g w/ a kissing gourami and a sun cat - all are around 6 inches long, though the cat might be pushing 7 inches. Oddly enough the cat won't eat the massivore pellets as well. Any tips or tricks beyond just starving? And how long can I starve a 6 inch bgk?
