I picked up a 3"-5" bicher a couple of weeks ago. i tried feeding it sinking massivore delight, it wont eat it. So since its still young, should i feed it live food? or stick with the pellets? Thanks

feed them blood worms. and slowly introduce them to pellets. My sen's swim to the top and eat pellets.

What have you been feeding them for the past week? Maybe it's too big for them still. Try breaking it up. If they haven't eaten yet, they'll eventually take it.

i've had two senegals (still have one) and they had no problem adjusting to pellets at around 3-4".. i've always fed a varied diet though (ghost shrimp, small ruby reds, shrimp pellets, frozen bloodworms). i'm guessing that has something to do with it, maybe because they learn to recognize that multiple food sources exist after being fed the same thing over and over at the LFS?

My pair have always eaten anything and everything I've offered.

Same mine will eat anything. I started with carnivore from Hikari and he ate it readily with no problem.

Try Hikari Carnivore pellets, their a perfect size for a senegal and they can eat it whole, you don't have to break it.
