For anyone who lives here in CA and has already been through this... there's something I don't quite understand...
Okay, so I'll turn 18 on 12/07, which is about 3 weeks away, so realistically I could manage to take (and hopefully pass) both my written test and my driving test before I turn 18.
Now, according to the manual, if I pass my written test before I'm 18 I get a provisional license, and then I take the driver's test, and when I turn 18 it automatically stops being provisional. However, it also says I can only drive around between 5AM and 11PM, and with no passengers for an entire year.
However, it says if I take it after I'm 18, I get a learner's permit after passing the written, and when I pass the driving test I get a license. It did not state any limitations on that license.
So, if I wait until after I'm 18 to get my stuff, will I not have the restrictions of no night driving and no passengers, or is it the same either way?
