I have decided to get one to go with my Oscar. The LFS has them at about one inch and four inch. I feel the one inch would get eaten up but the four inch would be fine. However, they want $60 for one and that seems very pricey to me. Anyone think otherwise? I checked aquabid but they only have two inch which may work but Id rather not. Anyone know of a vendor that sells nice ones for a fair price? I was browsing the vendor forums but I didnt come up with much. Thanks in advance.

Well I paid $20 for a 2" EBJD about 5-6 months ago. I also bought some
from this MFK member a couple of weeks ago for cheap! I know there to small
to place in a tank with your Oscar but its worth it.

I was under the impression that JD's are fine with and Oscar. If not Im glad I found out now. I would hate to stress a fish. Is there anything suggestions of what I should put with it? I would like to have a little variety but I dont want the tank too busy.
Yes, JDs are typically fine with Oscars, EBJDs arent. They require WAY too much special care to get to the 4-5 inch range compared to an oscar. EBJDs have parasite issues, bloat issues, tankmate issues, water quality issues etc, way beyond what most cichlids do.
OK thanks for the info. Im not sure I like the JD enough to get one, but I will def stay away from the EBJD. Thanks for the info.
To keep things simple I may just add another Osar. I hear in a large tank it is fine to have two.
