Im planning to get a 45cm semi king Super red from a reputable dealer online.. i am goin to ask him to video the fish under white light, coz it seems the video he gave me was under soft red light, he will update me tomorrow.

since it is gonna cost me plenty, i would like to double check with red aro pros here about what i need to look after for high grade red arowana.

DE : check
PLJ : Check
Orange cheek : Check
Red fin : check.. will double check it under white light video.
Red lip : it shows yellow/orangish, not like red red.. inputs on this?

Anything else?

Looks like a good looking semi-ffl. Apart from the list of things to look for as you mentioned above, for ffl's theres another thing to look at and that's the stomach. Grooming a fll is different than grooming a normal red/gold. If you concentrate on color than ignore what I'm going to say. The hump will grow with proper feeding and you'll need to feed this semi ffl more often than you would a normal aro. I feed all my ffl's at least 4 times a day. Not until full but at least 70% full. People may disagree, but they probably never owned an ffl. Since you're in Indonesia ask the breeder this and I'm sure he'll say the same thing. If you want color than do what most hobbyist do and tan. And for the amount of money you're spending, an elegant swimming posture is a must so have him send you a video of it swimming and watch the movement of his fins (especially the tail. The tail should be straight and not hanging down. I'll show you a vid of one of my not so perfect kings and you'll see what I mean). I know it sounds ridiculous but if you're

If you look at the other post I placed recently of several other fll's, look at the way they swim and watch their fins (and look at how pronounced their stomachs are

thanks a lot Raynado Raynado ...
I am more interested with the color. so as u suggested i will do what most people would do; tanning.

im getting a 4'x2'x2' tank (115 gal) and move my 30 cm king there.. it will be his grow out tank... and put the new 45cm to the current 285 gal with 2 BD stingrays.

as for swimming posture, please go to this website : http://www.red-midas.com/ready.php
and look after aro named "goblin".. it is what i am getting, and please let me know what do you think... or among other aros available there, which one you would choose.

i have not paid the full amount yet, just paid 20% down payment, so i still have time to decide which one from his stock is the best one.. hehe..

i am planing to make a full payment in 2weeks once the new 115gal tank is ready

Just saw the vid. He's a badass red. Good swimmer! Xander is also nice but has plj and I'm sure it'll get worse when he's older. But I like Goblim more now since I seen the video. Is this place in Japan? His number at country code 81.
