I am getting a 36 gallon corner tank to go into my office / fish room (already have 210 gallon African cichlid set up.

Anyway, i had dreams of having a stingray because of the odd dimension surface area for a corner tank but i know already this is probobly too little of a tank for that =(..... soooo any suggestions?

I had other ideas,

1 single oscar or perhaps a planted discus tank..,..

more suggestions please :nilly:

dwarf cichlids? community tank? depends on what u like...any hints?

Oscar is out of the question for a 36 gallon. Maybe a planted angelfish/or Discus Tank with small tetras.

I would steer clear of the stingray, there are none that would suit that size of tank. You could do an Asian river biotope tank, with loaches, rainbow sharks, danios, barbs, rasboras, gouramies and glass catfish, with the tank being heavily planted with driftwood. Or an African river biotope with congo tetras, synodontis, butterflyfish and smaller species of knifefish.

planted tank with some tetras and a pair of dwarf cichlids, perhaps curviceps as the centerpiece fish

Heres what I would keep:

2 x Peackock Eel
4 x Peacock Goby
2 x Glass Catfish
1 x Threadfin knife
6 x Apple snails
20 x Algae Shrimps

OR
15 x Threadfin Rainbowfish
10 x Algae Shrimp
4 x Khuli Loach

The second one would be more active.
