I'm actually just starting this thread out of sheer boredom. I'm taking an ichthyology field class, but it just started so have done basically nothing and I'm currently waiting to get tired enough to go to bed, but...

I'm getting a new addition to my very reduced herp collection (2 turtles-down from 2 turtles, ~15 geckos, an iguana, and a frog a few years ago). I'm getting a baby bearded dragon. They make such great pets, I think the only thing keeping me from getting one before was money and cage space. Now however, I have a nice 20 long already fully furnished for him. From there, he has a 40 breeder mesh cage and probably eventually a cage that I think is about 48"X18"X48" if I remember correctly (came with the iguana I was given) to grow into. I'm really excited to get him, but I figured I'd wait to bring him home until I'll be there to take care of him (after this two week course). I've already got him picked out and paid for at the store where I worked. He's already super friendly and I normally hand fed him (and 2 of the other 3 babies with him-the one's still skittish) a little bit of greens every morning.

I'll have pictures when I bring him home, but for now even the completed setup for him is over 100 miles away, so I'll have updates in a couple weeks...

ive never had a bearded dragon, but i have had a peninsula cooter, for over a year, till he left the pond, so now i have my snapper, and tiger salamander

i need a lizard....... fav animal

I've got a peninsula cooter. He's in my avatar. He's really cool. I've had him since he was a hatchling and now he's about 6 years old.
