getting a new bichir...probably

Hi been away from the forums for while, doing other things. While meanwhile my sen (whom I originally came to this site to find info about has done well and grown out.)

Anyway having got a digital camera Ive been posting some pictures of my fish and decided to make a run to all the LFS's in my area today. None of which usually have much in the way of Bichirs. What do I find at the first one i visit but a beautiful healthy looking Ornate just a little bigger then my Sen atm. However hes 30 some bucks and the track record of this store has been varied. I've had good experiences with them and bad. So I put him on hold saying ill be back for him in 3 weeks. My theory is if he's still alive and looks healthy then I should be good. If and hopefully when I pick him up ill get some pictures up.

Don't really know why anyone else would want to know this but I felt like sharing

To be perfectly honest I might have and even at what I know to be a very good price I didn't have 30 on me. Sadly my cash flow is short. Or I probably would have talked myself into getting him right then, in a few more minutes time. As was I almost bought him with a card I shouldn't use. lol .

Oh well I think my strategy is sound if lacking in instant gratification, i expect to have him soon.

It all comes down to location, location, location.

here in South Africa i paid R70 for my 3" endli.. that works out to about $10.
