Getting a new Tag...

...Automatic or Quartz movement, and why? My fiance is buying me a watch for an early wedding gift. I am set on the brand, but there is a difference in price of about $1,000 on the 2 models I like. Is there a big difference? I am looking at the Link Quartz Chrono in black and the Aquaracer Automatic Chrono in black as well. Does anyone have any experience with either of these watches?

Do you think there is any difference in quality or time-keeping? Everyone likes automatic watches, is it just because they don't want to replace the battery? I have never really had a nice watch and I like both. She will buy me either one.
