I will be acquiring a new 80g 60"x18"x18" which used to be a saltwater tank but is not currently running. I will be converting it to a freshwater planted tank. I just have a couple of questions:

-Can I just rinse everything and put my freshwater stuff in it?
-The owner told me I need a return pump. Whats a good return pump for a tank this size? I will be running co2 in it

I would probably wipe it down with vinegar or something nontoxic then thoroughly rinse it out. As far as pumps, I've had some mag drives that lasted quite some time. Though currently I'm running a jebao on my 320 and for the price I'm really liking it.

why do you need a return pump? does it have a sump?
