Good luck! I got my red wolf a week ago, and they are sweet monsters. Make sure to give him some sort of hiding spot.
Good luck. Where you getting it from? I had a 3-4 inch one from TFD that would always jump up to 5 times a day and ended up hurting his head.. After a couple months of constant treatment he eventually died of I believe fin rot.
I would defiantly suggest a sturdy lid, and if possibly some room between the lid and top of water so there isnt constant banging

Hes pretty docile, and claimed a cave as his.. Although hes not out all the time, I see him eating. Great fish so far. He has eat massivore since day one, and he eat krill today, as well as a small crayfish.
well got him home he tryed to jump 3 times in the bucket and did one time hope it will all go well will a 55 be good for life
lucky, those are beautiful monsters. I'd love to keep one oneday, but currently the only tank I would be able to keep on in is my friends 20L, which ichtyologist said was fine, but I'd rather get him something like a 30+ or a 55 like you. What are you going to feed him? I'd suggest massivore if you can handle the smell and if he eats pellets, otherwise I'd go with gutloaded ghost shrimp or market prawns.
