Hey guys. Been awhile. Been a long time actually at least it feels like it. I’ve been working, and after the move i didn’t have anything and I just kind of lost interest for awhile. But I have a stable job, paying off my car, and about to go to college here soon. Which is all cool. But I felt like setting up my 40g breeder tank bc why tf not I finally have money lmfao. So why not. The setup is soooo simple and it’s just there ig. Idk. It’s simple, cute and what not so idc. I don’t really know what to fill it with. But like I was thinking 3 like honey gouramis, a school of neons and a small school of Cory’s. I mean I’m more looking for suggestions, but don’t really want to go on a huge adventure to look for something lol.

Another option a single small sized cichlid with dithers?
Currently I have a 40b with a single pink convict and Plattys as dithers.

Could even do a breeding pair. I had a colony of Honduran Red Points growing in this tank for the last year.

Really depends on what you’re looking for. Something like a red wolf is good if you want a solo predator, but for more a community style setup I would do what Jexnell said.

Try to look at some of the smaller Amatitlania like Nanolutae or Honduran Red Points. Standard Cons in time will probably push it in a 40b. If kept long enough there are pics of 8in Cons. If mines pushes out past 5in I'll upgrade tank size. Only time will tell now as I just got mine and he's only maybe 3in give or take.

Back on point, whilst I do like honey gourami, sparkling gourami would be good with a group of Cory.
