I have been gone for quite a while. The final planning for my wedding and work took a toll on me. To top it off while i was on my honeymoon I lost almost all of my fish. All of my beloved P-Bass are gone. And most of the others. I have no idea what happened. I was only gone for a week and a half. For those of you who know me know my tanks were pristine in their condition. I almost walked away. I had a lot of $$ invested in those fish/tanks.

Only a conversation with a good friend of mine and excellent fishkeeper in his own rights convinced me that I should continue. So I am in the process of cleaning out tanks, I moved the few survivors around. and i guess i am almost ready to start again.

My new problem is what do I get now. Do I go back to P-Bass? Do I choose another species of fish?

I only have 4 of my fish left as follows:

1 Myan cichlid and 1 Jack Dempsey in a 100 gal
1 Jaguar in a 90 gal
1 Polleni in a 55 gal.

I have 1-125 gal, 2-55 gal, 1-45 gal tall, and a few smaller tanks that I was using as feeder, Hospital, quarintine, grow up tanks, etc.

So help me out and tell me what you think. I don't want to do salt water at the moment, and i prefer aggressive/predatory fish.

Sorry for such a long post.

You killed my neo-cichla-orino? ****er..

Kidding.. ;) Sometimes bad things happen. GL in whatever direction you go. And congrats on getting hitched.

Bro I almost cried when I walked into the house and saw my fish dead. I hope you havent lost faith in my skills I know you wouldnt have just sold that fish to anyone. I lost my HUGE Monos, My Tems, my spangled occelaris the cats everything. I think i'm going to go with P-Bass again just have to decide on which ones. Gotta or maybe Pims have Tems if I can find some.

Thanks you should have seen her trying to console me when we got home to the mess.

While he was very nice. It's just a fish. No big deal. :) We all lose one or more at some point. Kinda how the game goes.

"If you haven't killed a fish, you're not a MonsterFishKeeper." ;)

Pimina, Tem's, Orino's are all hot. It will be way easier to rebuild now days with the influx of kelberi, orino's and even azul's recently.

Jeff Rapps has some tiny "Rio Meta" Orino's in if it helps.

Good that she tried to console you. That's the sign of a good catch. :)

Guppies ftw.

Thats good to know. I am in the process of rebuilding a cpl of tanks i.e. change filtration upgrade lights back up systems etc. I think I will be ready to go by the firts of the year at the latest. We will see. I'm not going to rush.
