I posted a video in the past of one of my orinos getting all aggressive during water changes. Specifically attacking the bubbles.

Well, a couple weeks ago he was really fired up. And during the course of the change I absentmindedly stuck my finger into the water to gauge the temperature. Boom, he nailed it. Drew a little blood, but no worse for wear.

I attached this vid. He hit my finger like he hit these bubbles.

Anybody else have any biting stories?

Orinos are the most aggressive cichla in my opinion

Nice looking fish you have there. I have been bit by plenty of cichlids over the years. I used to have an Oscar that had personality by the boatload, and once in a while he would throw tantrums, especially if I changed anything in the tank. I have a video of one of these tantrums here

Sometimes he would get into this mood during water changes and would attack my hand/arm like this. It didn't hurt, was entertaining more than anything.

While handfeeding him bloodworms I was once bit by my 1-2" long Brazilian Puffer.

Don't laugh, it actually hurt. They've got little beaks, it was like being nipped by a pair of fingernail clippers.

Pbass (at a "large stage") tend to react to a large water change do to natural breeding weather. Attacking water changes isnt a good thing do to the fact that air might get caught in the bass gill plates. So called "coughing"

Outstanding looking orino.
Years ago I had an oscar that would actually tug on my finger and more recently my armatus gave me a good shank that drew a decent bit of blood.

I've been mailed by a few of my little guys but never any 12"+ . But I had an aggressive pinima that would regularly try to get me........and she was 17"
