Getting closer to JD

I am an owner of a female jackdempsy, and she is awesome and all, but it is so damn shy and i want to handfeed it but if my hand goes in the water she runs away. Any suggestions on how i can get her out of her shell?

instead of putting your hand in the tank start with maybe just holding the food with your finger tips and just put your finger tips in the water

Start with making sure the fish is comfortable with you in front of the tank very close and what not.
