I recently got some chingmix headbooster for my flowrhorns who have a HUGE appetite. They don't seem to be liking it and spit it right out. I have been feeding Hikari cichlid gold for a staple. Omega one color flakes, freeze dried bloodworms, and mysis shrimp for treats. Do I need to fast them for a day or two to get them to accept the headbooster or is there a betterway to do it?

You can try a day but i would do 2 days....So they'll be really hungry enough to eat whatever you give them...

Most of my flowerhorns don't like chingmix either. I'm not going to bother trying to get them to eat it either when I have 15 other foods they will eat. I just feed it to some fish selectively and I will throw a few pellets here and there for the fish that actually will eat it.

Really, mine love it. I only had a problem for the first day. It works, i wouldn't give up.

You could try a little garlic, get the garlic plus or something similar, soak it for a short period and see how they do, and then slowly lean them off the garlic.

Where can I buy garlic plus? That's a liquid right?

Garlic plus or garlic guard(cheaper). You can get it at most pet places, I would get the garlic guard because it's a lot cheaper and you get more. Yes it's a liquid.
