Getting me a silver aro

I am buying a 3'' silver arowana from Nate and need to know what he will eat, tankmates, etc... Also if you have some pics please share. I have kept huge arows before. I may have to put him in a 20 long with 2 balas, 2 id sharks, and a shubunkin goldfish until he gets big enough to go in the big tank.

whats your tank size? try and get him eating meal worms young it will really bring out the red in his tail

ok great he should be ok in the 20 for awhile i dont sujest to many tankmates for him in that small tank tho i would wait till he goes in the big tank, but stingrays, some gars, oscars, pacus, peacock bass, bichirs are usually all good tankmates, and if you want him to live a long time dont feed him goldies

Best bet is that you keep the baby arowana by itself until it is about 5 to 6" long. Aros as small as the one you are getting are very fragile and unable to defend themselves
