So I have posted about my wild discus before and still have that tank running... but a couple months ago i decided to change the dithers in my ray pup tank (210) over to domestic discus.. and it is working great so much color and activity so i figured I would share some pics.
Enjoy

Thanks! That sounds like a nice tank too- since the rays are about 6-8 inches I did not go with juvies- so all were bought at least like 4 inches -some are now about 6 inches- I have had Hans discus before they are nice- but I prefer the additional available strains come out of Asia vs the limited German (hans) and you can't really mix them- most of my fish have come from either discus r us or monster aquarium (mfk vendor) who I both highly recommend -Very beautiful tank!
I'm planning something similar with my 220. I will be housing my two fire eels in it and then plan on growing out some discus in groups until I have 8-12 discus in the tank. I think I will be getting some juvies from Discus Hans to grow out.
Where did you get your discus from and how big were they when you got them? Also, how big are they now? They are beautiful fish and you have a great looking group.
I've lost a lot of geos to bigger rays because they stay near the bottom and are easily jumped - I mean they can take discus too when bigger but at least discus stay higher in the tanklooking nice,, i currently have 8 discus with my rays and im debating if i want to add more or add a group of 5 or 6 geos
