This is a bit of a project, but overall it's in good shape. I went to see it today, and I think I'm going to buy it tomorrow. All I'll have to do is a few minor things and it'll be more like a fish/ski rather than a runabout. I don't really ski, so I'm not worried about power. 85hp should be plenty. I like the retro look too:D

Cool Boat.
I want to get a boat/jetski someday.
But its just not in the budget.
:D

Very cool.. My dad had a boat like that.. in about 1972.. lol

(It's still a cool boat though..)

I'm going to get laughed at for buying it, but I can't find a better deal:D

Hell, I can't even find a Johnboat for that price!

Buy it bro if it makes you happy in the end thats all that matters.... Happy boating

Congratulations! The boat looks like it's in pretty good shape. There's a similar boat motor on ebay starting at $500.00 (that should make you feel better)

Being on the water is so much fun. I suggest that you take up wakeboarding. It's easier than skiing, and you go a lot slower. It's lots and lots of fun. My observation is that everyone on the water is having fun (unless you're broke down) Kids in the smallest puttputt to big kids with their $$$$ powerboats--everyone is out on the water having a great time. I'll also be totally honest with you. I got a new boat last August. It cost about 3 times as much as the previous boat. While it has a lot of bells and whistles and does everything we want it to do, there is stress involved. The first ding it gets will cause me to be majorly sick. From the lake, we go way up one of the rivers that feeds into the lake and we hike up to a gorgeous waterfall. Near the end of the ride, we sit up in the bow and look down for rocks (so we don't hit a rock). Taking the new boat up there is not even a consideration--so no waterfall hikes for us anymore--unless we rent a puttputt boat from the marina to go up the river. Our boat will never be beached on shore. Shoes are not worn on our boat. Old beater boats definitely have their pluses!

i'd repaint it, that turquoise makes it look super old-IMO, a nice glossy black with semi speckle's like seen on fiberglass bass boats would look GREAT.:)
