Getting my first Oscar this week!

I'm picking up my first Oscar at the end of this week, saw him at the lfs this past weekend. He's around 10" stuck in a 12" display tank :( felt really sorry for him so decided to get him! Just setting up a 200g gallon temp tank for him till I finish my fish room! I'll get some pics when I pick him up and I expect il be back with tons of questions!

Sorry I meant to add it's a lutino tiger oscar and I got it for the grand sum of 40 pounds!

He's been stuck in the tiny display tank for over a year! He outgrew someone's tank and then got shoved into an even smaller tank

Quick update, picked up 'santa' today.

Just re read my first post and that should have said 100g not 200.. but couldn't use that in the end as it decided it didn't want to hold water any more. Only other tank I had available was a 40g breeder tank which I know is nowhere near big enough for this guy but it is still only temp and twice as bug as where he was!

This is where he has lived for the past 15 months..

Going to sort out a few plants and driftwood etc for him in an hour or so..

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Just wanted to give him somewhere to hide.. gonna chuck a load of weed and plant in one corner to give him some shelter
