Getting my Lima soon :)

Well a new petshop opened up in akron which is about a 30 min drive from me, and I saw their ad on CL and it said that they can deliver your fish and everything that you want . So I called today and asked if they could get in a Lima catfish for me, and the guy said once the owner gets back he'll have him call me so we can get pricing down and when he can get it in. So depending on how much it will cost me for delivery I might pick it up instead. So I want to make sure that he'll be good in my 150g before I order him and people change their minds and say that its not okay for it.. let me know

I guess it depends on your water and current stock as to if it will do well in your 150.

Limas do grow large but I think somewhat slowly as compared to other catfish species so I think a 150 will do well for a long time. Limas prefer soft neutral water with not very aggressive tankmates.

Depends on the cats size and the tock of the tank and their size...

just my oscar and 4 balas, which are all maybe 3-4" I think itd be fine too, does anyone know what they'll eat though?

I suggest going with a piraiba instead.

Lima are nice fish.

They are carnivorous. They like blood worms and feeders mainly and maybe some shrimp, I haven't tried yet.

No i tried to pellet train mine, hey went 6 days without eating and all i got out of that was an eaten ghost knife and then i tried again for 5 days and he wouldn't even look at them... good luck with the pellet training, you will need it!
