I've had my common pleco for about a year and a half now. Unfortunately I was fairly ignorant until about 8 months ago & was just feeding him algae discs. Since then I've been feeding him sinking carnivore pellets mainly & the occasional algae disc. I've been trying to get him interested in veggies, but they're just ignored. I put cucumber/zucchini in & replace a slice of it every 2 days. It just goes untouched. Is there something I can do or do I just have to keep it up? None of my fish seem to pay any attention to it.

maybe you can try to put the pallets in the cut cucumbers or zucchini. Im pretty sure your pleco would notice that.

try starving him? after awhile hes going to try and find something to eat if thats the only food in the tank, he'll take it.

I agree with this. It's better for the fish to be hungry and eat veggies. It's more like their diet in the wild ... don't try to fight evolution by going to a high protein diet. Feed carnivore pellets very sparingly.
