getting my two tats today from lfs

getting my tats today so was just wondering should i try feeders first or throw some silversides in there like wat my barracuda eats or should i starve them first

i got 4 from from tfd about a month ago. they have been takn gold fish for the most part. I had 2 eat market shrimp after starving for a week.

Nice, I think i need to pay a visit to your LFS... But anyway starve them for a max of two weeks and try your Silver Sides if that does not work you need some market shrimp. And it helps to tie the food onto some fishing line and to dangle it around to look like live food.

You found Armatus and did not snatch em? If you don't have a large tank it does not matter I mean THEY ARE ARMATUS FOR GOD'S SAKE! Anyway just sell em off when they get too big you'll get a nice amount of money...

Buying fish from LFS then reselling them once they get too large for aquariums never really works as well as it sounds.

Anyways, definitely check your LFS for tats. Tats were in season a few weeks ago and your LFS might have some left if they got any.

When buying fish at Lfs, always ask to see them eat. Once you take them home, feed them what they eat. If live foods, only feed an appetizer. This way you know they have something in their stomach (JMO)

they are barely six inches and there tails are a yellowish color but they are tats just wondering mine are staying at the bottom of the tank on one side of the tank wat does this mean and when will they start swimming around more also one has white spots in the center of both his eyes wat do i do about this and how fast are they going to grow i want them to be 7-8 inches?

i got one a couple of weeks ago thats in my hospital tank. he is all healed up now but I guess they look meaner then they are.

mine is not super active, he swims with the current but sort of hangs out close to one spot.
