I know that i brought this up in another thread,but i am a little worried,i bought my Wolf and Cow fish the same time(last Sat.)The Cow fish has eaten everything i have given him but the wolf wont eat anything(shrimp,scallops and Earthworms) i know its only been 2 days but i hate it when new fish wont eat.When should i start to worry??Also i really dont like to use "live feedes".Thanks!!!!
They do not get many shrimp-scallops-worms in the amazon. They are predators and hunt live prey. ----Sorry its just nature. Many keepers have used starvation and other forms of cruel and unusual punishment to train them to eat dead foods. So break out the whip.

ive had wolves take weeks to eat anything.even live.
My wolf also willingly ate like a pig since day one. He even eats floating pellets.. strangely floating pellets are the one food he will hit immediately once it hits the water.
he will def. eat, dont worry fish can go w/o food for a long time. and there is nothing wrong with feeding your fish feeders, as long as you know where the feeders come from, and they are healthy. pet shop feeders are risky, due to being kept in less than ideal conditions. no goldfish use tropical feeders, some members breed their own feeders which is ok, the main reason people get their wolves on dead foods is b/c its more practical and costs alot less. wolves are not scavengers, they are hunters, but in home aquaria being able to provide healthy and a steady supply of feeders is alot more expensive than being able to freeze fish filets, thaw them out when ready and toss em in. many people feed feeders, but do it more so as a treat, not a staple diet.
Dovii, has ur wolf started eating yet? My wolf doesn't eat shrimp and other sea food either, today i bought another 20 feeder goldfish, my jaguar got eaten by my wolf and my female convict has laid about 100 eggs, a fighting pair became a breeding pair in 6 months, and producing food for the wolf.
Starving method now won't work because it has to get use to eating dead meat, i hate to feed him feeders and my parents won't allow me either, but its temporary, try feeding him some live fish for the first month, then try freeze food.
