I know theres a sticky about this but I wasnt sure if I should have posted there or a new thread so heres goes. My growout tank contains a 8" aro a 5" mono and 2 5" tems. I have started to convert my fish off of live food as I lost a mono to live food already. I am using thawed market shrimp and thawed silversides cut in small chunks. I decided to use the starvation method of converting these fish. The problem is my aro gladly takes the cut food till his belly is full and one of my tems takes the food till he is full as well, but my other tems and my mono wont even look at the food. The two fish that wont eat have now gone without food for 3 days. Should I just keep going on the way I am and see if the 2 fish that arent eating will learn from the other two or should I give them a few feeders then try the cut food? Sorry for asking some noobish questions but this is the first cichla I have raised and I really love my fish and dont want to lose any of them because they arent eating. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

I would keep starving them for a couple ore days but if they dont start taking them i would give them some feeders. At that size u can starve them for a while

if one cichla is taking it,the rest will soon follow.
also,if you keep your temps high you need not worry about most diseases.
plus quarantine.;)
