getting ornate to grow quickly

What do i feed it to make it grow quickly? its about 3-4 inches right now but i want to get it to grow quickly so i can put it into the large tank. I cant put it in right now cuz my silver aro might eat it. Any info will help. thnx.

feed it foods highin protein. more importantly make sure the water parameters are good and do frequent water changes.

Feed a good quality pellet that high in protien,keep the water as pristine as possible,raise the water temp.to low 80F,feed several small meals instead of 1 or 2 big meals-Anne

on the same note, i was feeding mine every day untill it started to eat less and less, he grew from about three inches to about 6 and now doesnt seem to be as hungry so i started feeding every other day and he now he eats, not alot but some. is this ok? should i feed him every night instead?

Nope let it g hungry a day between feedings will not hurt it-Anne

my ornate is the slowest growing bichir ive got. im not sure if that's because it's an ornate or if it is just the individual. interestingly, it's at about 6'' now, and it still has external gills, although they are tiny now
