There seem to be a lot of us raising babies right now. I've had so many of you ask how to get them on pellets, but I forgot something. The little guys, under 5" have trouble eating a full size Hikari pellet. I dip mine in the water for about 15 secs, then break them in half, so they are soft enough, like human baby food. My baby hit a fullsize pellet the first day but he was too small to eat it, so I figured out something so obvious I just didn't notice until this tiny little aro of mine, Inferno, came along.
Don't over soak or they will sink. Aro's stalk their food, they like it moving in the current, mine always tags moving ones. If they sink, plecos or cl's will eat the leftovers, if no one in the tank will clean it up, then remove excess or the tank will get skanky quick!
Hope that jibberish made sense!
