Any tips? How difficult is it to get them off feeders? What is the longest I can starve them?

drop in a few feeders at a time until they start hitting the surface for them really hard. keep doing this for a week or two.

once you got them to to do this its rather easy

skip a couple of feeding wait til they are really hungry and drop pellets or whatever prepared food you are using instead of dropping feeders

they hit and tates it and spit it out but itll be a start then just mix it up with them drop a few pellets then feeders

hopefully by now they start eating it

My Orino was so greedy he snapped up freeze dried krill the first I threw some in the tank.

its in the Sticky

What worked for me, frozen tilapia. cut into the same shape and size as the goldfish I was feeding them. They love it now!

My pbass was eating feeders and frozen bloodworms up until it was around 5". It was then that I noticed it wasn't really eating the bloodworms anymore. The weekly dozen rosies he and my oscar shared must not have been doing the trick because one day i was dropping in some massivore for my o and the pbass just started nailing them. This leads me to believe that starvation is not necessary, but underfeeding might just do the trick. Now, my bass is around 8-9" and prefers pellets to feeders! Its favorite is massivore but it will take anything that is large enough and makes a splash when it hits the water. And the pellets definately are great for color. Drop them close, where your bass can see them drop, because my bass stopped eating off of the bottom at the same time it stopped eating the bloodworms. Good luck!

another tip odly enough is to actually throw the pellets at the glass first. this may sound strange but try it. you will see your pbass freak out like hes going after them, and then toss them up and over infront of the glass untill he strikes them. that combined with a few days of starvation should work
