I have 2 motoros about 6 inch disk. And im determined to get them on pellets... I bought a bucket of nls 3mm sinking pellets and my pbass wont touch the pellets so it will work out perfect, my rays show interest in the pellets, they will gum them but usually spit it out. The only luck I get is when I soak the pellets with shrimp then feed it. Even when I do that the rays will only eat a few of the pellets. Does anyone have any other ideas for getting these guys to readily take sinking pellets

If they are fat and healthy you could stop feeding them for a few days, then only feed the pellets. You need to be more stabern then the ray, thats the key:) if they already take some somethimes, i dont think youd have a big problem getting them over.

Try Hikari Sinking carnivore. Rays seem to like that pellet the most. Then once you train them to eat that you can switch them to other pellets if you like.

If they are intrested in food, there is nothing wrong about starving for a little while. Ive had rays that were skinny when they came in, and still lived 1,5 month before they died(never intrested in food). So they can go longer then we think, that why i said that you have to be more stabern then the rays :)

try crushing up the pellet and making a slurry out of it. I would do that with nls wafers for my rays. I would inject the slurry into their earthworms, they got use to the taste of nls wafers and related nls wafers to food.
