I am thinking about getting some RBP;S for my 55gal,but the whole problem is my tank is in the busiest room of the house,my living room.I know that Rbp's are real skittish so how can i get them to chill out??

Plants, lot's of them! I also had a suction-cup cave/cove on a glass-wall opposite the viewing side, so the less aggressive rbp could get R&R there w/o having to watch it's tail!

that should be fine if you buy more plants and space them a few inches apart so they can hide in them. putting them in the living room is the best idea to get them used to people but like i said 55gal isn't big enough for 3 rb's

Actually its the best thing for them.. If you see some care sites on them like p-fury most keepers (like myself) suggest it.. After a while they will get used to having humans all around it'll take a while depending on size and the number in shoal.. If you do decide to have 3 it will take less time the more in a shoal the beter granted the tank allows...remember with RBP 20 gal per fish.. But after a while they will act as if there is noone around them..
