I recently moved my rhom to a bigger tank in the down stairs living room. There's a little more traffic than my room but not to overwhelming. Well he's always had a little chimple but since, he's been rubbing on the glass and I've noticed now that his chimple is getting larger. I just put a power head in to try and keep him occupied instead of rubbing against the glass. Will the chimple go away with time or heal over?

My mac had a huge chimple but healed over a 2 year period. It will take time so be patient. MAKE SURE TO KEEP the water conditions nice and pristine and add some melafix and/or salt to address the wound.

would you guys recommend I use melafix? I hear that it helps with chimples and I hear that it doesn't. My rhoms chimple doesn't have skin grown over yet if that makes any difference.

That doesn't make sense at 10 inches he should of been out of a 50 gallon years ago......I figured he would of gotten a chimple in the 50 from not having enough space....I'm guessing now that he has more room he is exploring ....you should of gave him a bigger tank 2 inches ago .....I would add a good amount of flow with powerheads and give it about 2 weeks..... don't make him finger chase or startle him ...give him some time to adjust to the space ....
