how would i get rid of purple coralline algae from a acrylic tank without scratching it too much??? the tank has been dry for a few weeks.

use a credit card to scrape it off, i think adding water and moistening it will help it come off easier.
otherwise they make soft plastic scrapers that i have seen work pretty well. cradit card is my preffered method however, its just cheaper and easier!
if the tank is dry you may wet sand it as well. if you use 1000-1500 wet sand paper then you can get plastic polish from lfs and do the whole tank. it really is easy.i re-did my 300 and glad i did(looks perfect),a little work goes a long way. or just scrape it off gently like these guys say be careful.gl
