Some snails hitched a ride on some java moss and are are now taking over my 10g rcs tank. Are assassin snails my only real option? Are there any other means of getting rid of these things without having to buy assassins?

I have read before that a good way is to put a slice of cucumber in the tank and removing it daily with the snails attached until they are all or most removed. may want to tie a string to the cucumber slice for easily removal. You can probably recycle the snail by feeding it back to the shrimp.
Just need to wash them. Though blanching (i had to look it up) may make it even easier to digest.
i had a bad case, what i did was put lettice in a cup and set the cup on its side in the tank. left it for 24 houres and then pulled it out. the snails was all over the lettice. i did this untill the snails were gone, tooke about 3 days to clean them out. Maybe this will work for you.
